Officer Eric Barton is an exceptional individual with a diverse and accomplished background. Originally from Granbury, Texas, Barton left home at the age of 18 to serve in the Air Force from 2003 to 2007. During his time in the military, he specialized in Hospital Administration, gaining valuable experience in managing and coordinating medical services.

Following his service in the Air Force, Barton embarked on an exciting career as a Commercial Diver. From 2007 to 2016, he traveled to over 40 different countries across the globe, working on various projects as a specialized diver. His expertise in propulsion seals and his classification as a class A underwater welder set him apart from his peers, as there were only about 100 individuals in the world with this level of skill at the time.

In 2016, Barton decided to pursue a new path and became a Power Lineman. He currently works for Brazos Electric Cooperative, where he applies his technical knowledge and dedication to ensure a reliable power supply to the community.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Officer Barton is heavily involved in firearms training and safety. He is a certified USCCA Firearms Instructor and RSO (Range Safety Officer), as well as a DPS LTC Instructor. Additionally, Barton holds the distinction of being a DPS Level 3 instructor in firearms and is trained as a Stop The Bleed Instructor. His dedication to educating others extends to being a CRASE Training Instructor.

Barton keeps himself sharp by regularly training with Paraclete Consulting in Seguin, Texas, and Consolidated Training Group in Weatherford, Texas. He is an avid participant in monthly 2Guns competitions at BSR and practices Krav Maga, a self-defense system developed for the Israeli military.

While Officer Barton is no doubt committed to his work and honing his skills, his top priority is his family. He relishes spending quality time with his loved ones and ensuring they have fun together.
