Electrical Career and Recognition

Hoss's journey in the electrical field began during high school, where he worked as an apprentice electrician and displayed exceptional skills. His interest in electricity led him to receive the State electrical award from both the Future Farmers of America and 4H Clubs. Hoss went on to serve as the Arkansas State FFA Vice-President and achieved the prestigious American Farmer Degree, an honor bestowed upon less than one-half of one percent of active FFA members.

Military Service and Top-Secret Clearance

Dedicated to serving his country, Hoss devoted 30 years of his life to the Air Force (17 years active duty, 13 years reserve). During his tenure, he served as a Titan II ICBM Launch Officer and held a "Top Secret" military clearance, having undergone comprehensive background investigations. Hoss's commitment and dedication to national security were exemplified through his service during the Vietnam Era, Cold War, and the Iraq/Afghanistan War Era.

Real Estate and Civil Service Roles

Following his military career, Hoss transitioned into the real estate industry, working as a Real Estate Broker Associate and Real Estate Securities Broker-Dealer in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He made significant contributions to major real estate developments, gaining experience in various areas, including commercial and industrial land syndications.

Entrepreneurial Success: Premier Electrical Systems and TeraVolt Energy

Not content with a traditional career path, Hoss founded Premier Electrical Systems in 2002, a venture that grew from a small two-person operation to a million-plus dollar commercial electrical contracting and solar installation company. Premier successfully completed numerous prominent commercial projects and expanded its services to include solar energy development and installation.

Commitment to Green Energy and Active Involvement

As a passionate supporter of green energy and energy conservation, Hoss actively participates in organizations such as the San Antonio Clean Technology Forum and the Energy Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) Emerging Technology Working Group.

Personal Achievements and Interests

Outside of his professional endeavors, Hoss is an active member of MENSA and actively contributes to charitable and community activities. He is a 3rd Degree Black Belt in Soryu Karate and shares his martial arts expertise as an instructor.

In October 2010, Hoss received the NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) Certified PV Installation Professional designation, further solidifying his expertise in the solar energy field. Additionally, Hoss holds Security Level 3 and 4 licenses, a HAM General license, and an FAA Registered Commercial UAV license, reflecting his commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism and excellence in his work.
